First Zbrush Model

Just started using Zbrush. Here's my first model with a bit of photoshop on top.

Creature Designs

Here are some creature designs. They're basically tyranid/xenomorph/zerg type monsters. I didn't want them to be as instantly terrifying as the inspiration though. The bottom image has the initial sketches. Each creature design has it's own stereotypical behaviour. For the final render, I took some interesting elements from all of them to create a general form for the creature.

I was inspired by Transformers.

Edit: Apparently blogger automatically compresses an image if it's too big. This smaller one looks a lot better.

I used a simple 3D mesh from Daz Studio to start and then painted in Photoshop as usual.

These next two are tweaked versions of a cover I did for Diatribe Magazine's March 2010 issue. I couldn't decide on colours so I made two. I hope the flip makes the first seem more abstract. I used Alchemy for some of the shapes.
